Natália Araújo do Carmo recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavior and a minor in Data Science. Her research background integrates developmental neurobiology, cognitive neuroscience, and computational approaches, including a senior honors thesis in which she developed a novel pipeline to decode EEG signals for brain-computer interfaces. Her research interests center on how environmental factors, play, movement, and bilingualism influence cognitive development and language learning, particularly in relation to neurodivergence and neurodevelopmental disorders. Outside the lab, you might find Natália reading at a public library or attending Washington Ballet performances.
