Darby joined the program in the fall of 2026 on the Lifespan Cognitive Neuroscience track under the mentorship of Chandan Vaidya. She graduated from Cornell in 2024 with a degree in Human Development. There, she was part of Dr. Marianella Casasola’s Play and Learning Lab. Since her graduation, she’s been at the National Institute of Mental Health as a post-baccalaureate research fellow, working with Dr. Karen Berman on a longitudinal neuroimaging study of children and adolescents with rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorders (Williams syndrome and 7q11.23 duplication syndrome). Darby is absolutely thrilled to be joining Dr. Vaidya’s lab and the Psychology department at Georgetown!
