Brooke Smith (she/her/hers) graduated from Georgetown University in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. As an undergraduate, she worked as a research assistant in the Black Early Stages of Social & Emotional Development Lab with Dr. Coates and completed an honors senior thesis in the CDSP lab with Dr. Wantchekon, examining Black racial identity as it relates to psychological and academic adjustment among college students across the U.S. Her research interests include Black ethnic-racial identity development, Black youth and family racial socialization, and ultimately mental health equity. Outside of the lab, Brooke can be found spending time with friends and family, taking photos, and listening to music.
