Dr. Markowitz is recipient of 2017 Glassman Dissertation Award in the Social Sciences
April 10, 2017 – Congratulations to graduate alumna Anna Markowitz who has been named the recipient of the 2017 Harold N. Glassman Dissertation Award in the Social Sciences from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences for her dissertation, “The Role of School Engagement and Educational Policy in the Development of Socio-Emotional Skills.” The Glassman Awards are intended to honor truly distinguished dissertations in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences with one award available in each of these three broad disciplinary areas. This is the third time a Psychology graduate has received this award since 2011.
Dr. Markowitz is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate with Daphna Bassok at the EdPolicyWorks Center in the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia.
