Graduate Student Naomi Nero Awarded Guggenheim Emerging Scholar Award

Naomi Nero has been awarded the Harry Frank Guggenheim Emerging Scholar Award  to support her final year of completing her dissertation, titled Valuing and Devaluing Others: Identifying Mechanisms Relevant to Predicting and Preventing Interpersonal Violence in Psychopathy. This dissertation will examine the psychological mechanisms underlying aggression and violence in psychopathy, focusing on how individuals value others and how affective and moral processes contribute to violent behavior. Through three studies integrating social decision-making, affective and moral processing, and longitudinal methods, Naomi aims to identify actionable targets for preventing violence and reducing its societal burden.
