Cassia Caruth is a first-year Ph.D. student in Psychology at Georgetown University, mentored by Dr. Anna Johnson in the Child Development and Social Policy Lab. She is interested in how family, educational, cultural, and policy contexts intersect to shape parenting practices and children’s developmental and educational outcomes. Before coming to Georgetown, Cassia worked at Brown University’s Annenberg Institute, collaborating with school districts and community organizations to advance data-informed strategies for student learning and educational equity. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, she holds an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in Linguistics from Duke University.
