Alejandro Jaco

Lab: Happy Tech Lab

Alejandro graduated from Yale University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science. While at Yale, he completed his Honors Thesis in the Neuroscience of Social Behavior Lab under Steve W.C. Chang, where he examined how social variables influence the subjective valuation of shared rewards. After graduation, Alejandro joined the Neurosurgery Department at George Washington University’s Medical Faculty Associates as a clinical research assistant, where he managed several investigator-led and industry-sponsored clinical trials. At Georgetown, Alejandro is working on implementing a recently awarded grant to study the effects of early exposure to social media on adolescent mental health. His research interests center on understanding how social variables influence cognition, decision-making, and development. Looking ahead, he plans to apply to PhD programs in psychology and neuroscience.
