Dr. Phillips Appointed to National Board For Education Sciences
October 24, 2014 – Deborah Phillips was named a member of the Board of Directors of the National Board for Education Sciences by President Obama. The announcement was made on October 16 by the Office of the Press Secretary as part of nominations made by the President for several key administration posts.
The National Board for Education Sciences typically consists of 15 voting members who advise the Director of the Institute for Education Sciences approves national research priorities for the Institute.
Dr. Phillips, who most recently served as President of the Foundation for Child Development in 2012, will continue on at the University while serving on the Board.
