Alaina Pearce successfully defends doctoral dissertation

November 17, 2017 – Congratulations to Alaina Pearce (mentor: Vaidya (new window)) who successfully defended her doctoral dissertation, “Neurocognitive deficits in pediatric obesity.” She will begin a postdoctoral fellowship at Penn State University in January 2018 where she will be working to examine the neural mechanism underlying overeating in response to portion size with neuroimaging.
