Jenna Finch receives Psi Chi summer research grant

This competitive grant will accord her a funded, full-time experience in order to pursue her research on her project, “Threshold

Psi Chi – the International Honor Society in Psychology — offers motivated students the opportunity to learn the discipline and experience the rewards of scholarly research by working with Faculty on their research projects. Jenna’s research is designed to explore non-linear associations between child care quality and social-emotional outcomes, combining two important lines of developmental research – temperament and childcare. Jenna, an undergraduate major in the Department, hopes to determine if there are upper or lower thresholds of quality that must be attained so as to promote positive outcomes and minimize negative impacts, and so this research entails policy implications as well.
